Mrs. Alma L. Betty Palmour, age 95 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Palmour was born in Trion, Georgia on June 6, 1925, daughter of the late Henry Little and Julie McWhorter Little. She was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ, where she was active in many areas, including the food committee. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Palmour was a Para-Pro at the Pennville School. She loved to garden and enjoyed being with family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmour was preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Palmour and all of her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Palmour is survived by her daughters, Carol Brown and Lynn Haley; grandchildren, Chris Brown and Luke Haley; great grandchildren, Kristin Brown, Gavyn Whaley and Bransen Whaley; 2 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Palmour will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. in the Pennville Church of Christ with Minister Robby Eversole officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Crisp, Danny Strickland, Randy Young, Scott Gayler, Albert Palmour and Robby Eversole.
Mrs. Palmour will lie in state at the Pennville Church of Christ where the family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
The family of Mrs. Palmour, and the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, reminds anyone that plans to attend the services, to please follow the CDC guidelines as it pertains to social distancing and social gatherings. Facemasks are not required, but are strongly encouraged.
