Amy Jo Wilbanks Thomas

Mrs. Amy Jo Wilbanks Thomas, age 85 of Trion, GA passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Thomas was born June 7, 1929 in Trion, GA. She enjoyed being with her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed cooking big meals for her family and talking to friends.  Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Otra and Lula Mae Strickland Wilbanks; great grandchild, Jackson Cole Hames Thomas; and brother, J. D. Wilbanks. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack Thomas; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jackie and Kay Thomas, Arlen and Anna Thomas, and Gary Thomas; daughter, Jo Ann Clements; brother, Bobby Wilbanks; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Amy Jo Wilbanks Thomas will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as Pallbearers, Jeff Thomas, Jeremy Thomas, Kerry Thomas, Cole Thomas, Scott Clements, Cody Thomas, and Maverick Herod. Honorary Pallbearers will be great grandchildren and special friends, Goldie Patty, Saralyn Thomas, Barbara Hall, and Charlotte Stowe.
