Mrs. Ann Shell

Mrs. Annie Bell Sills Shell, age 72 of Trion, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Floyd Medical Center. Mrs. Ann was born in Trion, Georgia on December 5, 1945, daughter of the late Walter Sills and Myrtle Hines Sills. Mrs. Ann was employed with Wal-Mart and was Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ann was preceded in death by, husband Carl Carter, daughter Johnnie Porter, son-in-law, Phillip Smith, grandson, Thomas Wayne Painter and numerous brothers and sisters. Mrs. Ann is survived by her children, Michael Painter, Jeff Painter, Tina Christopher, Melissa Addison, Brenda Bramlett, and Tammy Smith; brother, Jimmy Ray Sills; sister, Roberta Smith; a special niece, Ann Carpenter; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ann will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home, with Rev. Kevin J. Norton and Rev. Ray Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooten Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dillon Star, Roy Cantrell, Jeremy Brown, Robert Payne, David Cundiff and Joey Rector. Mrs. Ann will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
