Arra Mae Williams

Mrs. Arra Mae Williams, age 90 of Trion, GA passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.  Mrs. Williams was born January 31, 1921 in Trion, GA.She had been employed as a Cashier with Hoyt's Supermarket.  Mrs. Williams liked to read, sew, and cook.  She was a faithful member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Williams; her father and mother, Robert O. and Fannie Mae Cordle Brown; 1 granddaughter, Lisa Williams; and numerous brothers and sisters. Mrs. Williams is survived by her children and their spouses, Jerry and Carolyn Williams of Lawrenceville, GA, Gene and Glenda Williams of Harrison, TN, Ann W. Keith of Chattanooga, TN, Kenneth and Charla Williams of Lawrenceville, GA, and Doug and JoAnn Williams of Sacremento, CA; 8 grandchildren; number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Williams will lie-in-state Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.   Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.  Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Central Avenue Baptist Church. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
