Mr. Billy Lamar Moore

Mr. Billy Lamar Moore, age 84 of Summerville, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Moore was born in LaGrange, Georgia on January 13, 1933. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, was retired from Restaurant Enterprises, and was an avid baseball fan. He was a member of the Pennville Missionary Alliance Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, an Elder and a member of the governing board. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Louise Moore; his mother, Dorothy L. Smith May; and a brother, Wayne May. Mr. Moore is survived by a stepson, Lamar (Anita) Adams; brother, Robbie May; sisters, Daphyne (Robert) Whatley and Tommie (Ed) Sanders; 2 grandchildren, Wesley Adams and Gina Marcy; special buddy, Kim Whatley; several great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Moore will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Carlos Martines officiating. Interment will follow in the Shadow Lawn Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Nelson Furtado officiating. Mr. Moore will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
