Mr. Bobby William Maton

Mr. Bobby William Maton, age 63 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at a Rome Hospital. Mr. Maton was born in Lafayette, Georgia on November 27, 1954, son of the late Leonard William “Bob” Maton and Uarry Nell Timmons. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of the Town of Trion and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed watching all football games, but was an avid Atlanta Falcons Fan. He loved to ride around town in his motorized wheelchair he nicknamed Speed Buggy and loved going to Walmart. He loved his neighbors all of his neighbors at the high rise and especially loved his sister “Kat” and his nieces and nephews. Mr. Maton is survived his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Norman Cooper; nieces, Rebecca Carico and Breezy Henderson; an aunt, Mozell Brown; and a number of great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Maton will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Biddle and Brother Ralph McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Henderson, Mitchell Hensley, Morgan Laney, Arley Timmons, Eddie Timmons and Michael Shedd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Residents of the High Rise Apartments. Mr. Maton will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
