Mr. Bobby Eugene Ramey

Mr. Bobby Eugene Ramey, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ramey was born in Lafayette, Georgia on April 29, 1941, son of the late Marvin Earle Ramey and Pauline Nations Ramey. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and prior to retirement, was employed with Shaw Industries as a mechanic. He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ramey was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Evans Ramey, and a brother, Dennis Ramey. Mr. Ramey is survived by a son, Vincent Eugene Ramey of Trion; daughters and son-in-law, Leicia Ward and Katrina and Shawn Haney of Summerville; stepchildren, William Allen Brown, Bobby Lewis Brown and Paula Ann Morgan; brother, Jimmy Ramey of Lafayette; sister, Joanne Dover of Trion; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside and Interment Services for Mr. Ramey will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 at 2:30 P.M. in the Bryan Cemetery with his brother-in-law, David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Bryan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Ramey, Ricky Thornton, Jason Buice, William Brown, Gary Brown and David Evans. Mr. Ramey will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home-Petitt Chapel and the family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
