Bonnie Lee Teems

Mrs. Bonnie Lee Teems, age 89 of Adams Road, Trion, GA passed away Wednesday in Oakview Nursing & Rehab Center.  Mrs. Teems was born May 19, 1924 in Cherokee County, AL.  She was Baptist by faith and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation. Mrs. Teems was preceded in death by her husband, John Teems;  daughter, Jenny Teems; grandson, Douglas Kincade; father and mother, Jim and Mattie Hammitt Smith; sisters, Lucille Ray, Ruby Smith, Cleo Gilreath, and Charlsea Lowery; brothers, John Smith, J. W. Smith, and Luther Smith. Mrs. Teems is survived by daughters, Becky (Wayne) Smith of Rossville, GA and Vicky (James) Miller of Trion, GA; brothers, James Smith and Russell Smith of Summerville, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shores officiating.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Bonnie Lee Teems will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, Ricky Sims, Billy Tapp, David Snowden, David Lively, and Kevin Siber.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.
