Brenda "Sue" (Marks) Young

Mrs. Brenda Susanne “Sue” Young, age 67 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in a Rome Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Sue was born in Lafayette, Georgia on July 17, 1957, daughter of the late Lawson Merrille Marks and Georgia Pauline Brown Rape.  She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed reading books and writing.  In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Kline Franklin Young; sister, Michelle Marks; brother, Vernon Bishop Roulane; and a great-grandson, Daniel Ray Dixon.

Sue is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly McDaniel and Amanda and Anthony Flowers; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Sherrie Marks and Michael and Sara Bumbalough; companion, Ben Anderson; sisters, Jeanie Marks, Darlene Mack and Annette Marks; brothers, Hoyt “Bo” Marks, Lawson “Red” Marks, Jr. and David Marks; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Committal Services for Sue will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Pallbearers will be Michael  Bumbalough, Dylan Marks, Carson Marks, Aiden Marks, Josh Woods and Christopher Woods.

Sue’s family will receive friends Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
