Mrs. Brenda Jean Tapp age 61, of Rocky Face, GA passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. Mrs. Tapp was born in January 1, 1950 in Summerville, GA. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ridgedale Unity Church of God. Mrs. Tapp was preceded in death by father and mother, Bonnie Clarence Miller and Dorothy Louise Corbin Miller; sister, Rachael Darlene Miller; and brothers, George Miller and Clarence Miller. Mrs. Tapp is survived by husband, Love O'Neal "Bill" Tapp of Rocky Face, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Johnny Brooks, Bonnie and John Seiber; and Kimberly and Matthew Davis of Rocky Face, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, George and Cynthia Hodges Tapp, Billy Tapp, and Chip Tapp of Rocky Face, GA; sister, Thelma Youngblood of Summerville, GA; brothers, Thomas Miller of Summerville, GA and James Miller of Trion, GA; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Current officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Tapp will lie-in-state, Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be George Hodges Tapp, Caleb Seiber, Kevin Seiber, Johnny Brooks, Jr., Johnny Kincade, and Jeffery Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Dover, Terry Miller, Thomas Miller, Jr., Herman Hatfield, Jim Davis, and Steve Morrison.
