Mr. Buddy Ray Evans

Mr. Buddy Ray Evans, age 81 of the Spring Creek Community, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Evans was born in Trion, Georgia on September 8, 1939, son of the late Abner Lee Evans and Ina Mae Dillard Evans.  He was a member of the Trion Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Mr. Evans was a retired welder.  He loved music and enjoyed picking and playing his guitar, but his favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Evans; a grandson, Daniel Lee Evans; and two brothers, Robert Evans and Donald Evans.

Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Anthony Bryant; son, Mark Alan Evans; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Pat Evans; grandchildren, Adam Evans, Stephanie Herring, Landon Bryant, Corey Evans and Ashley Evans; several great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment services for Mr. Evans will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Green Hills Memory Gardens with Dr. William Flannagan and Rev. Tim Evans officiating.

Pallbearers will be Landon Bryant, Anthony Bryant, Mark Evans, Adam Evans, Jerry Edwards, and Britt Evans.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Ikie Henderson, Alfred Crabtree, James Carter, Rex Evans, James Evans, Charlie Duke and Charles Frady.

There will be no public visitation.
