Mr. Charles William Pettyjohn

Mr. Charles William Pettyjohn, age 68 of Summerville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Pettyjohn was born in Lafayette, Georgia on May 1, 1953, son of the late Louis Pettyjohn and Dorothy Russell Pettyjohn.  He was retired from United Synthetics and was of the Church of Christ Faith.  He enjoyed fishing and playing golf and loved spending time with his family.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Pettyjohn was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Bridges and Mary Nell Gilreath; and brothers, Lavone Pettyjohn, Jimmy Pettyjohn and Robert Pettyjohn.

Mr. Pettyjohn is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Pettyjohn; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Anthony Rabun; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dean and Curtis Broome, Rita and Mack Brown and Elaine and Jimmy Ward; grandchildren, Amber and Robbie Spearman, Alexis and JP Robinson and Madison Rabun (and almost Garret Rowlls); great grandchildren, Addy Spearman and Evie Robinson; special nephew, Lee Gilreath; and a number of additional nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Pettyjohn’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
