Mrs. Chris (Westbrook) Taylor

Mrs. Chris Taylor, age 60 of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at a Rome hospital.

Chris was born in Rome, Georgia on February 27, 1964, daughter of the late Thomas Glenn Westbrook and Mildred Lee Landers Westbrook.  She was a member of the River in Centre, Alabama and was retired from Mohawk Industries.  Chris never met a stranger, and took in many children over the years.  She enjoyed church activites and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by her husband, James Winston Taylor; a sister, Dinky Warren and a brother, Thomas “Butch” Westbrook.

Chris is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Slater and Amanda(Kevin) Rhinehart; brother, David(Cindy) Westbrook; grandchildren, Hunter Rhinehart, Wyatt Roberts, Alexis(Kirby) Slater, Seth(Shanrail) Slater, Chase(Sadie) Slater and Shaylia(Bryan) Black; great grandchildren, Mason Slater, Colton Slater, Weston Flatt and Ronin Flatt; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Chris will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Mr. Ed Flener officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Coffman Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
