Mr. Curtis Lester Wooten

Mr. Curtis L. Wooten, age 72 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Curtis was born on March 23, 1948, son of the late Wallace Wooten and Othel Marshal Wooten.  He was a member of the West Summerville Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by brothers, Lavoyd, James, Dennis and Kenneth Wooten; sisters, Dessie Cash, Barbara Chaney and Marie Wood.

Curtis is survived by a sister, Patricia “Pat” Wooten; nieces, Debbie Gaines and Erica Dover, as well as a number of additional nieces and nephews.  Curtis was our gentle giant. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

The family wishes to make a special mention to Darlene Henry and Chasity Foster of Henry’s BBQ, who held a special place in his heart.  A special thank you to all of the staff of Oakview Nursing and Rehab, especially A Hall for all of love and care you have Curtis.

The family of Curtis will have a private memorial service in the coming days.
