Mr. Daniel "Dad" David Mcgowan

Mr. Daniel David "Dad" McGowan, Jr. age 61 of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Floyd Medical Center. Mr. McGowan was born in Marion, Ohio on September 20, 1953, son of the late Daniel David McGowan and Elizabeth Risch McGowan. He liked to spend time with his grandchildren, ride motorcycles and loved to fish. Mr. McGowan was a volunteer at Shepherd's Helper and was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Sue Young. Mr. McGowan is survived by a son, Daniel David McGowan, III and his wife, Millie of Chickamauga; a daughter, Annette Marie Floyd O'Dell and her husband, Eddie of Trion; a sister, Joyce McGowan Gattshall; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Mr. McGowan will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Harrell Street Church of God with Rev. Denny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at the Coffman Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 prior to proceeding to the Harrell Street Church of God.
