David Dewayne Blackmon

Mr. David DeWayne Blackmon, age 49 of Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at a Rome hospital.

David was born in Rome on January 31, 1975, son of the late Erby Odell and Jean Rogers Blackmon.  He had attended the New Generation Church of God and prior to disability, was a jack operator at Mt. Vernon Mills.  David enjoyed fast cars, riding bicycles and spending time with his family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Braidyn Housch.

David is survived by his children, Austin Housch, Taylor Blackmon, RJ Blackmon, Eli Blackmon, Ashley Housch, Emily Blackmon, Rosa Blackmon, Emma Blackmon and Alyssa Blackmon; step-brother, Erby Odell, Jr; sisters, Angela Dooley, Tammy Hines and Margaret Nabors; 7 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with David’s wishes, he will be cremated and the family may have a memorial service at a later date.
