Mr. David Arthur Curry

Mr. David Arthur Curry, age 82 of Rome, Georgia passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Floyd Medical Center. Mr. Curry was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on July 3, 1933, son of the late Louie Curry and Olivette Bonin Curry. He was retired from GE and was an avid Golfer, which led to his post retirement job working at the Stonebridge Golf Course. In addition to his parents, Mr. Curry was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Zelinski, a sister, Joan Frances Dobbs and a brother, Richard Oliver Curry. Mr. Curry is survived by his daughters, Dawn Parris and Meloni Mockerman; a sister, Mary Lou Beckner; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Mr. Curry will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Christ Gospel Church, 619 Chulio Road, Rome, GA 30161. Graveside and Committal Services will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Military Rites provided by the United States Marine Corps. Honor Guard.
