Mrs. Delores Turpin

Mrs. Delores Turpin, age 90, of Summerville, Georgia passed away at the residence of her daughter on October 9, 2020.

Mrs. Turpin was born in Providence, FL on March 27, 1930 daughter of Robert Fulton Harden and Winnie Maude Rogers Harden. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, Providence, Fl. She was a homemaker, also very active in the Eastern Star, Martha Ada Chapter 190 and loved cooking.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turpin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Turpin; sisters, Carland Dukes; Pauline Smith; brother, Robert Lee “Pat” Harden.

Mrs. Turpin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby & Cindy Turpin; daughter and son-in-law, Winnie & John Cullens; 4 grandchildren, Ryan & Amanda Parker Chesley, Lori & Keith Bruce, Katie Grace Turpin, Beth Anne Turpin, 2 great-grandchildren, Emerson Bruce and Thea Chesley and  number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Turpin will be held Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Cater officiating.   Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Chesley, Keith Bruce, Larry Wise and Harold Chesley

Mrs. Turpin will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until the hour of service.

The family of Mrs. Turpin, as well as the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, advise anyone that plans to attend the services for Mrs. Turpin, to please follow the CDC recommendations as it pertains to Social distancing and social gatherings.  Facemasks are not required, but are recommended.
