Mr. Dennis Wayne Durham

Mr. Dennis Wayne Durham, age 75 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at a Rome Hospital.

Dennis was born in Lafayette, Georgia on November 29, 1946, son of the late Charles Porter Durham and Helen Louise Day Durham.  He was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church and had attended the Central Avenue Baptist Church.  Dennis was on the Board of Directors for the JW Greenwood Foundation, was self employed as a general contractor, and enjoyed woodworking and hunting.  In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Mack Durham and his stepmother, Virginia Durham.

Dennis is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Beth Durham and Amy and Vincent Mendes; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Pam Durham; step brothers and sister-in-law, Larry and Joyce Parker and Billy Parker; fiance, Betty St. Clair; grandchildren, Catherine Mendes, Emma Mendes and Claire Mendes; former wife and friend, Glenda Durham; close friend and right hand man, Timmy Glenn; and a number of nieces, nephews and additional family.

Funeral Services for Dennis will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating.  The family will have a private interment.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Frye, Chris Frye, James Crane and Vincent Mendes.

Dennis will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
