Mr. Donald Ennis “Cookie” Cook, Jr. age 49 of Trion, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Floyd Medical Center.
Donald was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia on November 30, 1970, son of the late Donald Ennis Cook, Sr. and Josephine Yvonne Arnold Cook. He was a member of the 1988 Graduating Class of Chattooga High School, where he was a member and past President of the FFA. Donald was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church, and was a former Truck Driver. He was a Dukes of Hazzard Enthusiast, loved going to Car Shows, and loved working on and tinkering with cars. Donald rarely met a stranger and will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Donald is survived by his wife, Sherry Cook; daughter, Bonnie Cook; son, Brody Dye; sisters, Kelly Cook and Flora “Lori” Cook; and a number of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
Graveside and Interment Services for Donald will be held Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 2:30 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Pastor Chris Hollman and Bro. Micca Gillespie officiating.
Pallbearers will be Richard Rubright, Sr., Richard Rubright, Jr., Stacy Evans, Stacy Thrasher, Josh Tapp and Rocky Hatfield. Honorary Pallbearers will be The men of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Greg Swinford, Rollon Brown, Chris Russell and Bobby Patterson.
Donald will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the family to help offset the funeral costs.
