Mrs. Donna Carol Boutwell

Mrs. Donna Carol Boutwell, age 67 of Summerville, formerly of Tallapoosa, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the residence of her daughter.

Mrs. Boutwell was born in Edwardsville, Alabama on November 7, 1953, daughter of the late Elmer Vaughn and Margaret Elkins Vaughn.  She was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Sony.  She enjoyed reading and loved to bake.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boutwell was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee “Scooter” Vaughn.

Mrs. Boutwell is survived by her husband, Gene Boutwell; daughter and son-in-law, Cristy and Rodney Lewis; stepsons and their wives, Greg and Amy Boutwell, Gary and Carolyn Boutwell and Glen and Jolene Boutwell; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Beth Vaughn; Aunt and Uncle, Linda and Paul Williams; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; her favorite fur child, Champ; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Boutwell will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. in the Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa with Rev. Chester Presnell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Owens, Trevor Durham, Brandon Garrett, Kevin Houston, Elliah Lewis and Jessie Trammell.

Mrs. Boutwell will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The family of Mrs. Boutwell, and the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, reminds anyone that plans to attend the services, to please follow the CDC recommendations as it pertains to social distancing and social gatherings. Facemasks are not required, but are recommended.
