Mrs. Dora Kathleen "Kat" Lindsey

Mrs. Dora Kathleen “Kat” Lindsey, age 91 of Summerville, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Lindsey was born in Collinsville, Alabama on June 17, 1927, daughter of the late Sam Barnett and Ada Norris Barnett. She was a homemaker and a babysitter. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her husband, Ronell “Pete” Lindsey; two grandchildren, Tommy Lindsey and Kaleb Stough; and two brothers, J.L. Barnett and Jessie Barnett. Mrs. Lindsey is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jerry Willingham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Barbara Lindsey and Wayne and Pat Lindsey; sisters and brother-in-law, Erma Lindsey and Mary Lou and Mark Wiegold; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Lindsey will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with her son, Wayne Lindsey, grandson, Mr. Ben Bridges and Rev. Chris Hearne officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery near Sand Rock, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Andrew Lindsey, Austin Lindsey, Wade Partridge, Shaun Wood, Tim Lindsey and Brian Kilgo. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff and Friends of Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Lindsey will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
