Mrs. Doris Irene Bryan

September 8, 1931 — January 20, 2019

Mrs. Doris Irene Bryan, age 87 of Trion, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Bryan was born in Subligna, Georgia on September 8, 1931, daughter of the late Virgil Gentry and Ida Viola “Daisy” Walker Gentry. She loved to garden, going to yard sales, and making crafts, but her greatest joys were looking after her cats and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Bryan was preceded in death by her husbands, M.C. Boyd and William H. Bryan; daughters, Marion Boyd and Vickie Brinkley; son, Greg Espy; brothers, Bill Gentry, Bob Gentry and Claude “BoBo” Gentry, and sisters, Julia Howell and Violet "Patty" Rhinehart.

Mrs. Bryan is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Retha and Johnny Blackmon, Rita and Bobby Ledbetter, and Sherri and Greg Stoker; sisters, Jane Reed, and Edna Williams; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a number of great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bryan will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Bishop and Bro. Ralph McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Blackmon, Jeremy Gorham, Hayden Stoker, Austin Stoker, Kevin Stoker and Aaron “Bubba” Alexander. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Gentry, Marty Smith and Tony Smith.

Mrs. Bryan will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
