Mrs. Doris G. Ford

Mrs. Doris G. Ford, age 78 of Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Ford was born June 1, 1940, daughter of the late Alfred Lee Brown and Mattie Ruth Maddux. She was a member of the United Christian Fellowship and prior to retirement, was employed in the weave room at Riegel Textile and was a nurse’s aide at Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Emory Ford, Sr.; son, Olin Emory Ford, Jr.; grandson, Dartey Ford; brother, Leroy Brown; great grandchildren, Aliyaah Brown and Kiersten Lee Ann Reynolds; and a number of infant brothers and sisters. Mrs. Ford is survived by a daughter, Amy Gregory; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Terri Ford and Daniel and Cecelia Ford; brother and sister-in-law, Edmond and Brenda Brown; sister, George Ann Sweet; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ford will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Howell officiating. Private Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Ford will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
