Dorothy Nell Wilson

Dorothy Nell Wilson, age 79 of Trion,GA passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Wilson was born July 8, 1933 in Gaylesville, AL.  She was retired from Mohawk Industries and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Herman D. Wilson; father and mother, Neely and Willie Mae Floyd Sparks; son-in-law, Alton Ponder; 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Mrs. Wilson is survived by daughters, Teresa Ponder of Lyerly, GA and Sheila Hill of Summerville, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Wanda Wilson of Summerville, GA and Lenny Wilson of Stone Mountain, GA; former husband, Archie Sibert of Trion, Ga; grandchildren, Jamey Hill, Joey Boyd, Heather Lindsey, Lauren Latta, Ryan Wilson, and Sidni Vaughn; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also surived. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Kelly and Rev. Tom Russell officating and Lenny Wilson will do a eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery,  Gaylesville, AL. Mrs. Wilson will lie-in-state on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ryan Wilson, Jason Vaughn, David Lindsey, Jimmy Scruggs, Jerry Sparks, and Jimmy Thompson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Residents of Gold Leaf Apartments, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
