Mr. Dustin Lee Starkey

Mr. Dustin Lee Starkey, age 41 of Trion passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Reidsville, Georgia.

Dustin was born in Rome, Georgia on January 15, 1979, son of Beverly Westbrooks Parris and the late Roy Lee Starkey.  He was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church, a member of the 1997 graduating class of Trion High School, where he was active in several sports and was a two time state wrestling champion.  Following high school, Dustin attended Jacksonville State, and was presently attending the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  In addition to his father, Dustin was preceded in death by a brother, Dartey Jacob Ford; grandfathers, Dartey Westbrooks and Roy J. Starkey; grandmother, Darlis Starkey Peace and step-father, Olin Ford, Jr.

Dustin is survived by his mother and step-father, Beverly and Scott Parris; brother and sister-in-law, John Dylan Cody Ford and Samantha Ford; step brother, Mark and Michelle Ford; grandmother, Sylvia Starkey; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside and Interment Services for Dustin will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Casey Bramlett officiating.  Those attending the Graveside service are asked to meet at the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Ford, J.J. Starkey, Derry Maddux, John David Gable, Paul Cavin, Al Smith, Adam Lee,  Butch-e Cordle and William Benefield.

Due to the COVID-19 threat to the community, there will be no public visitation, and the family will leave the cemetery promptly at the conclusion of the service.

The Starkey family, as well as the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, ask that you consider your health and the health of others and to adhere to the CDC Guidelines as it pertains to social gatherings, should you plan to attend the funeral services for Dustin.
