Mrs. Ellen Louise Mcleod

Mrs. Ellen Louise McLeod, age 78 of Centre, Alabama passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. McLeod was born in Centre, Alabama on September 8, 1942, daughter of the late Herman Brown Rickett and Mabel Bishop Rickett.  She was retired from the textile industry.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her husband, Jehu McLeod; sister, Ruth Grace and brothers, J.W. Rickett and Bill Rickett.

Mrs. McLeod is survived by a daughter, Laura Ann Wheat; son, Anthony Edward Slayton; sister, Donnie Faye Smith; brother, David Rickett; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Mrs. McLeod will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home.  A private committal service will take place at a later date.

The family of Mrs. McLeod will receive friends following the Memorial Service.
