Mr. Eugene Talmage Hutchins

Mr. Eugene Talmadge Hutchins, age 88 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Hutchins was born in Summerville, Georgia on August 14, 1933, son of the late Charles W. Hutchins and Alice Lowe Hamby Hutchins.  He was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ and was retired from the Needling Department of Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Mill.  Mr. Hutchins loved to garden and enjoyed working in his yard.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutchins was preceded in death by sisters, Rose Kennedy, Charlene Rhinehardt, Dixie Clayton and Ruth Nuckolls and brothers, JC Hutchins, WA Hutchins, Ernest Hutchins, Tom Hutchins and Jack Hutchins.

Mr. Hutchins is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda Nell Hutchins; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Allen DeBord; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Ginger Hutchins; sister, Barbara Alford; 2 grandchildren, Heather(Matthew) Price and Austin Hutchins; 2great grandchildren, Hannah Price and Madison Price; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Hutchins will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Minister Robby Eversole officiating.  Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include Nolan Crisp, Scott Gayler, Steve Harp, Ron Patty, Matthew Price and Danny Strickland.

Mr. Hutchins will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
