Mrs. Geneva "Janie" Woods

Mrs. Geneva Jane “Janie” Hixson Woods, age 90 of  Summerville, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Woods was born in Hixson, Tennessee on January 15, 1930, daughter of the late George Edward Hixson and Belle Hardy Hixson.  She was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church and was retired from the Dixie Dime Store.  She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Woods and a daughter, Mary Ann Woods Greene.

Mrs. Woods is survived by her daughter, Linda Jane Woods Floyd; grandchildren, Nathan and Marcie Floyd and Brooke and Corey Ballenger; great grandchildren, Will Floyd, Braxton Floyd, Pam Eirick, A.J. and Brooke Erick, and Kayla Ballenger; and a great great grandson, Grayson Eirick.

Private Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Woods will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 in the Green Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating.

Pallbearer will be Nathan Floyd, A.J. Eirick, Will Floyd and Braxton Floyd.

There will be no public visitation.
