Georgia Beatrice Peace

Mrs. Georgia Beatrice Brown Peace passed away July 7, 2012 in Redmond Regional Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1917 to the late Thomas C. & Dovie Austin Brown. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John C. Peace, 3 sons, Mickey, Freddie & Stephen L. Peace. Survivors include: 4 sons: John T. Peace, Alpine, Marvin E. Peace, Lafayette, David B. Peace & Randy E. Peace of Cloudland; 3 daughters: Martha Dean Brown, Trion, Patsy F. Parker, Trion & Mary Nell Chastain, Calhoun; number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Minister Hugh Glaze & Rev. Jack Green officiating. Interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Mrs. Peace will lie-in-state at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home on Sunday evening where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. and include the following: Dan Tapp, Ray Williams, Scott Williams, Gary Witt, Sid Witt, Jeff Bennett & John Peace, Jr. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
