Glenda Joy (Atchley) Noles

Mrs. Glenda Joy Noles, age 78 of the Dry Creek Community, Summerville, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 in a Rome hospital.

Mrs. Noles was born in Summerville, Georgia on June 2, 1945, daughter of the late Bernell Atchley and Azzie Lee Loveless Atchley.  She was a member of the West Berryton Faith Temple and was retired the tufting department at Mohawk Industries.  She enjoyed traveling and taking trips, especially to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Noles was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Archie Noles, Jr.; a sister, Martha Potts; a brother, Darnell Atchley, and a brother-in-law, Billy Joe Simpson.

Mrs. Noles is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jennifer Noles and Heath and Amelia Noles; sister, Betty Simpson; grandson, Brendan Noles; great grandchildren, Alice Noles and Jax Noles; special niece, Lisa Cordell; and additional nieces, nephews and family members.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Noles will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shores and Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Heath Noles, Chris Noles, Brendan Noles, Tim Simpson, Matthew O’Donald and Shane Noles.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jaden Barnett, Tyler King and the Tufting Department at Mohawk.

The family will receive friends at the Coffman Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the service hour.
