Mrs. Goldie Cordle Patty

Mrs. Goldie Sue Cordle Patty, age 91 of Trion, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Patty was born in Trion, Georgia on June 5, 1927, daughter of the late Willliam Cleo “Bill: Thomas and Clara Hazel Pierce Thomas. She was a member of the Welcome Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patty was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Gerald Cordle; second husband, William D. “Bill” Patty; daughter, Linda Sue Cordle; sister, Mary Ella Thomas; brothers, Max Thomas, Jack Thomas, Roy Thomas, John Thomas and Cecil Thomas; and a granddaughter, Patricia C. Cordle. Mrs. Patty is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharron Diane and Kelise Hurst; sons, Jerry Cordle and his partner, Richard Oakes, and Butch and Tammy Cordle; extended family, the Bill Patty Family and the JimMcDonald family; special Friend, Rev. John Mann; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Patty will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Shores and Rev. John Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Butch Cordle, Jr., J.C. Young, Tommy Young, Michael Cordle, Danny Greene and Matt Weaver. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class of Welcome Hill Baptist Church and members of the Red Hat Ladies. Mrs. Patty will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of food and flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Welcome Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 107 Welcome Hill Road, Trion, GA 30753.
