Harvey Ray Mitchell

Mr. Harvey Ray Mitchell, age 66 of Trion, Georgia passed away at his residence on Tuesday morning May 12, 2026.

Ray was born at the Lafayette Hospital in Walker County, GA on August 1, 1959, son of the late JW Mitchell and Lois Sosebee Edwards.

Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting along with spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Kathy Carrol Mitchell; sister, Debbie Alexander; sister, Teresa Mitchell and grandchildren, Johnathan Lucas Mitchell and Kalee Grace Mitchell.

Ray is survived by a son, Johnathan (Lucy) Mitchell; daughter, Katie Mitchell; sister, Becky(Gene) Martin; sister, Mary Ann(Phil) Gurley; grandson, Jadon Mitchell; step-father, Charles Edwards and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ray’s wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned.
