Homer Lavon Saine

Mr. Homer Lavon Saine, age 74, passed away Monday morning, October 19, 2026 at an Emory Healthcare facility in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Prior to his last year and half in the Chattooga county area, Mr. Saine had resided in the Dalton, Georgia area for approximately the last 40 years. Homer was of the Baptist faith and after his retirement from the carpet industry he found joy in reading and watching old movies.

Mr. Saine was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Homer Lawson Saine and Mrs. Annie Laura McGill Saine; 2 sisters, Linda Cooper and Sharon Cluck; 2 brothers, Richard Saine and Terry Saine.

Homer is survived by a son, William Saine; daughter, Beverly Morgan (Gary); daughter, Amanda Dennison (Roy); brother, Ricky Cooper; sisters, Laura Dawson, Carol Brown, Mary Ann Smith; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

There are no formal services planned as Mr. Saine will be cremated according to his wishes.
