Hoyt Richard Craig

Mr. Hoyt Richard Craig, age 76 of the Mountain View Community, Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the residence of his sister, Nancy Craig in Summerville.

Mr. Craig was born in Lafayette, Georgia on May 31, 1948, son of the late J.D. Craig and Martha Rebecca Goodson Craig.  He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and was of the Baptist Faith.  Mr. Craig had a soft spot in his heart for children and animals, enjoyed raising chickens; and when he was able, loved to hunt and fish.

Mr. Craig is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Rodney Lewis; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kandy Craig; brother and sister-in-law, David and Patsy Craig; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Craig and Mike Shireman, Linda Noles, Kay Rakestraw, Stella Keef and Hazel and Hoyt Burrage; grandchildren, Ethan Nixon, Douglas Craig, Justin Craig, Kaleb Craig, Joseph Cochran, Adam Cochran and Shelby Cheatham; 9 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Craig’s wishes, he will be cremated and there are no plans for a memorial service at this time.
