Mr. Hugh "Huey" Charles Love

Mr. Hugh Charles "Huey" Love, age 63, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mr. Love was born in Summerville, Georgia on October 6, 1952, son of the late William "Bud" Love and Margie Lee Jones Love. He was a member of the Four Mile Baptist Church and was most recently employed with the City of Summerville as a mechanic, but had also operated heavy machinery at Rocky Mountain. Mr. Love was an avid sportsman, playing baseball and football during his High School Years at Chattooga High School under Coach Buddy Windle. Following High School, Huey played in the Textile League with the Riegel Rifles, and also formed his own Softball Team, Huey's Team. In addition to softball, he loved to play horseshoes, Cook, and tinker and work on Race cars and Mud trucks. Huey was a great and loving Dad that could be hard headed and stubborn, but loved to cut up and have fun, and would go above and beyond to make you laugh. In addition to his Dad, Huey was preceded in death by two brothers, C.M. Love and Mike Love. Mr. Love is survived by his children, Tracey Martel; Megan Bowden and her companion, Matthew Ward, Jeremy Davenport and his wife, April, and Jeff Bentley; mother, Margie Love; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Wayne Dobbs; Wayne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Jane Love and Terry and Carolyn Wofford; Special Friend, Dawn Bowden; grandchildren, Kendall Baker, Leeya Ward, Cole Ward, Isabell Martel, Jared Davenport and Lexi Davenport; one great grandchild, Kane Baker; nieces and nephews, Tony Dobbs, Kristy and Ricky Burble, Angela and Andy Galloway, Terry, Jr. and Dephrene Wofford, Preston and Mindy Wofford, Mike and Kacce Love and Jason Scoggins; and a number of great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services for Huey will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Kelley and Rev. Tom Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memory Gardens. The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the funeral home Sunday at 1:30 P.M.: Gary Hardeman, Jamie (Chavo) Smith, Kevin (Tater) Martin, Jason (JRod) Jarrett, Andy (Red Dot) Howell and Jeremy (MoMo) Morris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Rowland, Chris (Mo) Mosely, Clinton Agnew, Gene Ellenburg, Paul Meredith, Richard Lindsey, Kenneth Hunter, Phil Lenderman, Jimmy Lenderman, Tim Winters, and all of his horseshoe and softball friends. Mr. Love will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Coffman Funeral Home, Petitt Chapel is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Hugh Charles "Huey" Love.
