Imogene Bruce Broyles

Mrs. Imogene Bruce Broyles, age 88 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Broyles was born in Lafayette, Georgia on May 14, 1934, daughter of the late Ross Bruce and Ruby Beatrice Brown Bruce.  She was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church and had formerly been employed in the Lab at Mt. Vernon Mills.  She enjoyed playing the piano, public speaking and writing, but her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Broyles was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Broyles and brothers, Leo Bruce, Lawrence Bruce and Lewis Bruce.

Mrs. Broyles is survived by a son, Todd Broyles; grandchildren, Aaron Broyles, Casey Broyles and Sara Broyles; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Broyles will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation.
