Mr. Jackie Whitley Day

Mr. Jackie Whitley Day, Jr. age 57 of Signal Mountain, TN formerly of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 06, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Day was born in Rome, Georgia on June 13, 1959, son of Jackie Whitley Day and Shirley LaVaughn Stewart Ducker. He had most recently been associated with North Summerville Baptist Church, loved to fish, ride go-karts and listen to gospel music. Mr. Day was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doyle D. and Mary Evelyn Mitchell, Naomi Day and an uncle, Robert Franklin Stewart. Mr. Day is survived by his mother and step-father, Shirley and Newell Ducker; father, Jack Day; brothers, William Race Allen, Shaun Day and Mark Ducker; sisters, Kristie Barnes, April Day and Saundra Mobbs; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Day will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in the Trion Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Day will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
