James Bonnyman Crowe

Mr. James B. Crowe, age 91 of Summerville, GA passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.  Mr. Crowe was born on October 30, 1921 in Mentone, AL.  He was self-employed in Construction, was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church, and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Parris Crowe; father and mother, Finn M. Crowe and Belle Keith Crowe; sisters, Doris Crowe Hughes, Marie Crowe Pope, Lorena Crowe Simmons; brothers, Rev. Finn Crowe, Rev. Floyd Crowe, Rev. Charles Crowe, Rev. Edmund Crowe, and Edward Crowe. Mr. Crowe is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Elaine Crowe Gobel of Summerville, GA and Brenda and Rick Dover of Accokeek, Maryland; grandchildren and spouses, Rachael Gobel, Trey and Jen Gobel, Rick and Shannon Dove, Pamela and Jamie Seaton, and Mike and Kristin Dove; sister, Betty Crowe Hunt of Alabama; brothers, Richard Crowe and William Crowe of Alabama. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Threlkeld officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens. Visistation for Mr. James B. Crowe will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Pallbearers will be family and friends. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home is in charge of services.
