James Allen Elrod

Mr. James Allen Elrod, age 66 of Ringgold, Georgia formerly of Summerville, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at his residence.

Allen was born in Rome, Georgia on September 6, 1958, son of the late Johnny Elrod and Elsie Geneva Reynolds Elrod.  He was retired from Smith and Waters Transport.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Elrod, Jr.

Allen is survived by his companion and wife, Teresa Wilson; daughter, Kimberly Elrod; 14 grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and additional family members.

In accordance with Allen’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private memorial may be held at a later date.
