Mr. James Edward Howard age 74 of Summerville, Georgia, passed away at his residence on Monday, June 30 surrounded by family.
Mr. Howard was born in Lafayette, Georgia on December 25, 1950, son of the late Wilton Howard and Thelma Lee Booker Howard. Mr. Howard was a 50 year resident of the area coming from Macon, Georgia. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Special Forces; retiring from active duty in 1995.
A Georgia native and Baptist by faith, he was a #1 Paw-Paw, held many belts in karate and coached recreation ball. Above all, Mr. Howard was an avid fisherman, fishing anywhere he could find a fishing hole but his favorite was cat fishing on Weiss Lake in Alabama.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Tucker) Howard of Summerville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tricia Howard; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Judy Howard; sister-in-law, Sue Howard; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grand children.
There are no services planned for Mr. Howard at this time.
