Mr. James Thomas "Jim" Hunter

Mr. James Thomas “Jim” Hunter, age 80 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Hunter was born in Buffalo, New York on November 23, 1941, son of the late James Hunter and Beatrice Huston Hunter.  He was a retired firefighter for the city of Miami, Florida and was of the Baptist Faith.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Ray Hunter on November 25, 2018, and by a sister, Bonnie Miller.

Mr. Hunter is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Beth and Eric Hamilton and Dawn Hunter; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Shirley Hunter; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob Mussell; brothers and sister-in-law, John and Kathy Hunter, David Hunter and Mark Hunter; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Hunter will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with his brother, Rev. John Hunter officiating.

Mr. Hunter will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
