Jerry Stout

April 20, 1934 — October 30, 2012

Samuel Jerry Stout, of Sneads, Florida, passed away on October 30, 2012 after a long battle with congestive heart disease. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Anne Lyons Stout, his parents Mrs. Bonnie Ellis Stout and Mr. Samuel Berry Stout, his brother, Max Stout and his sister, Nancy Paula Stout.

He is survived by his three children, his brother and six grandchildren; Daughter, Berry Anne Stout Byington, son, Samuel Jerry Stout, Jr., son, Robert Lyons Stout; brother, Lowry Stout; and grandchildren, Nicholas Cullen Byington, Kathryn Anne Byington, Britany Taylor Byington, Samuel Nicholas Stout, Staci Marie Stout, and Zeno Zachariah Stout.

Mr. Stout attended high school in Ft. Payne and later entered the U.S. Navy where he was a machinist first class and served four years of active duty during the Korean War and two years in the Reserves. He traveled extensively while working for Chrysler Corporation with the missiles and rockets division. He was a pipe fitter and draftsman with Local 52 in Montgomery , Alabama until his retirement where he lived on Lake Seminole in Sneads, Florida . He was also a graduate of Clown School and a member of the International Juggler's Association and frequently voluntered. Mr. Stout brought a smile to many.

Flowers can be arranged through Duff's Flowers & Gifts in Summerville , Georgia . Mr. Stout will lie-in-state at Cloudland Presbyterian Church in Cloudland , Georgia on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 10:30-11:30 am EST where the family will receive friends. The funeral service and internment will begin immediately thereafter.
