Jesse Michael Wood

Mr. Jesse Michael Wood, age 61 of Trion, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Wood was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 5, 1960, son of the late Arnold Wilburn Wood and Ruby Inez Sparks Sibert.  He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills, where he worked as a Warp Servicer.  Mr. Wood loved to travel, work in his yard and anything to do with being outdoors.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Brenda Reece Wood; son, Justin Wood; daughters, Cristina Wood and Kayle Wood; stepchildren, Sonny Gilham, George Gilham, Brena Sue Flemings and Star Roberts; step-father, Archie Sibert; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Bolton, Debbie and Jim Crabb and Vicki “Pebbles” Walker; grandchildren, Aliyah Black, Alyrik Wood, DaKhari Black and Kady Wood; six additional step grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Wood’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service may be held at a later date.
