Jesse Thomas Young

Mr. Jesse Thomas Young, age 80 of Summerville, GA passed away August 7, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Young was born October 14, 1935 in Atlanta, GA. He had been employed with the Trane Corporation. Mr. Young was a member of the Gwinnett Community Church. He was a member of the VFW, loved Georgia football, and was a professional bowler. Mr. Young was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp having served in Korea.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by brother, Marshall Edward Young; and parents, Jesse Adams and Mary Bell Fowler Young.

Mr. Young is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Carol Young and Jeffrey Paul Ely; sons, Kenneth Wayne Young and Gregory Keith Young; grandchildren, Melissa Gail Ely and Jason Wood and Michael Paul and Kelly Ely; great-grandchildren, Brody Wayne Wood and Bennett Michael Ely; brothers, William T. Young, Benny T. Young, Roy David Young Reid; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial honoring the life of Mr. Jesse Thomas Young will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Gwinnett Community Church with Pastor John Baker officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service.
