Jimmy Ray Murdock

Mr. Jimmy Ray Murdock, known to some as the “Snake Man”, age 45 of Chatsworth, Georgia formerly of Summerville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 19, 2024 at his residence.

Jimmy was born in Ft. Payne, Alabama on November 2, 1978, son of Eddie Laverne Murdock and the late Rose Evelyn Willie Murdock.  He had been employed with Mt. Vernon Mills.  He loved hunting and handling snakes, working with wood, carpentry and anything to do with the TV Series, The Walking Dead.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Twana Murdock; son, James Murdock; daughter, April Murdock; nieces, Katelyn Fowler, Destinee Naillon and Courtney Naillon; and a nephew, Levi Fowler.

In accordance to his wishes, Jimmy will be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service in the coming weeks.
