Mr. Jimmy "Pepaw" Williamson

Mr. Jimmy D. "PePaw" Williamson, age 83, of the Dickeyville Community, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mr. Williamson was born in DeKalb County, Alabama on July 1, 1932, son of the late Lee Williamson and Omie Meadows Williamson Hughes. He was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church and had been employed with Wendy's Restaurant in Trion for the past 11 years. Mr. Williamson retired from maintenance Department of Mt. Vernon Mills in 1998 after over 35 years of service. He was a man with a strong work ethic and kept himself busy gardening, woodworking and hunting. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Williamson on September 9, 2014; and three brothers, James Wright, Leroy Williamson and Charlie Williamson. Mr. Williamson is survived by his children, Steve Williamson and Brenda Williamson; brothers, Delbert(Peggy) Williamson and William Hughes; two grandchildren, Stephanie(Stephen) Williams and Calen(Clancey) Cooper; a great granddaughter, Scarlett Williams; and a number of step-brothers and step-sisters; his beloved fur babies, Hank and Trouble and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Williamson will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Wilborn officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Everett, John Everett, Jr., Tom Everett, Terry Whaley, Randy Hunter and Hayward Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his friends from Wendy's. Mr. Williamson will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
