Mrs. Joann White Stoker

July 18, 1932 — May 7, 2018

Mrs. JoAnn White Stoker, age 85 of Summerville, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Stoker was born in Summerville, GA on July 18, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph Wesley White and Annie Lee Byars White. She was a member of Berryton Church of God, and was retired from the Cafeteria at Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center . She loved to cook, work in her flower garden, play card games, and take care of others. Mrs. Stoker was preceded in death by her husband Amos Lee Stoker, Sr.; brothers, Charles White and Harold White; sisters, Martha Edwards and Patty Stoker, and grandchildren, Jason Stoker, Christopher Ratledge, and Joseph Lee Evett. Mrs. Stoker is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Amos “Lee” Stoker, Jr.; Larry A. and Johnnie Stoker, Greg and Sherri Stoker, Timothy Mark and Debbie Stoker; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy D. and Charles Ratledge, Vicki R. and Wayne Davis and Tammy L. and Elliott Norton; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Cecil Watkins; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, special cousin, Martha Martin; special friends Carolyn Williams and Mike Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Stoker will be held Friday May 11, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Lee and Brother Terry Shores officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Stoker, Shawn Stoker, Cody Stoker, Eric Ratledge, Chelsea Stoker, Chris Stewart, and Jon Ratledge. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Pruitt Hospice, her Sunday School Class at Berryton Church, and her grandchildren. Mrs. Stoker will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M.
