John Thomas Peace

Mr. John Thomas Peace, age 86 of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at a Rome Hospital.

Mr. Peace was born in Trion, Georgia on September 4, 1935, son of the late John Clemens Peace and Georgia Brown Peace.  He was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church and was retired from the United States Air Force, where he served as a Medic and as an inspector from the Herman Miller Chair Company.  There was nothing more important to him than God.  He loved to Golf, work in his yard and spend time with his family.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Peace was preceded in death by brothers, Freddie Peace, Mickey Peace, Steve Peace, Marvin Peace and David Peace.

Mr. Peace is survived by his wife, Alice Peace; daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Kent Brown, Lane and Roger Mumau and Cindy Peace; sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr. and Sandra Peace, Donald and Debra Peace, Pepper Peace and Doug and Rachel Peace; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Donna Peace; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Sammy Brown, Mary Nell Peace and Patsy and Billy Parker; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Peace will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Hickman officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens with the Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 of the American Legion Honor Guard in charge of rendering Full Military Honors.

Pallbearers will include Willie Tapp, Jim Parker, John Brian Peace, Richard Brown, Randy Peace and Dawson Brown.

Mr, Peace will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
