Johnny Gregg

Mr. Jonathan Clifford “Johnny” Gregg, age 82 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. Gregg was born in Subligna, Georgia on March 26, 1944, son of the late Milburn Hugh Gregg and Myrtle Carrie Houser Gregg. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War and was retired from Lockheed. Mr. Gregg was an avid model train enthusiast and had built many train and city models. He also enjoyed woodworking, where he built cabinets and furniture.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by his son, Larry Gregg; two brothers, W.B. Scott and Lamar Gregg; and a brother-in-law, Tony Scott.

Mr. Gregg is survived by his wife, Karen Gregg; sister, Sue Scott; nieces and nephews, Jeff and Heather Coley, Jamie and Miranda Coley, Jerry Lynn Coley, Donna and Vick Sykes, Danny Scott and Ricky and Debbie Scott; and a number of additional nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Memorial Inurnment Services for Mr. Gregg will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Green Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jeff Shaver officiating. The United States Navy will be in charge of Military Funeral Honors..

There will be no formal visitation.
